Today’s class with Ruben focuses on establishing and improving mobility in the hips, working with active stretches such as figure 4 and 90 - 90 position as well as passive stretches like lizard and frog.
Ruben was born in Italy and before settling in London has worked extensively across Europe performing as a ballet and contemporary dancer. Throughout his dance career he became interested in biomechanics and furthered his movement studies to become a mobility coach and yoga teacher.
He enjoys teaching breath lead alignment-based classes with a focus on building strength, mobility, and awareness through conscious movement.
He is interested in seeing his students understand how their own body works and feels, allowing space for self-inquiry, personal exploration, and the odd giggle.
